The nuthatch is common at backyard feeders. Getting their name from the bird's odd practice of breaking open nuts and other seeds by slipping them under tree bark, these compact and hardy little birds have a simple and distinctive song. Nuthatches tend to be non-migratory, year-round cavity dwellers, making nests out of hollows in trees or rocks. This sometimes leads them into direct competition for these spots with woodpeckers.

Handmade wool felt birds are decorative and educational for both avid birders and everyday admirers of nature. Soft to the touch, lovingly made with fine, natural merino wool.

Each figure has a string loop for hanging. Made in Nepal.
