Every day, we're here to make a difference for the world we share. But especially today, on Giving Tuesday, we want to hear all the ways you’re giving back to your community and making the planet a better place to live. This year, we’ve partnered with a lot of great organizations and we’re always looking for ways to give more. Look at just some of what we’ve accomplished together!
United By Blue Cleanups
For every product you purchase, United By Blue removes one pound of trash from U.S. waterways. At last count, you’ve been a part of their 161 volunteer days in 26 states across America, collecting over 318,294 pounds of plastic debris and other trash from waterways.
Mitscoots Gives Back
With its buy one, give one model, Mitscoots is addressing a tangible need of homeless individuals: clean socks and winter outerwear like scarves, hats, and gloves. They understand that not having the gear you need to survive on the streets is only part of the problem. The greater issue for people in need is not being able to provide for themselves. You’ve also made a difference in the lives of the transitioning homeless folks they employ to package the socks sent to your door, and partnering with other organizations who close the gap and make transition to life off the streets possible.
Equal Exchange and the Small Farmer Fund
Big agribusiness is squeezing out the little guy more and more each day. That’s why for every pound of coffee you’ve bought through the Good Buy, twenty cents is donated to the Small Farmer Fund, which has built long-term partnerships with small farmer and producer groups like Muungano (a name that translates to "togetherness") is uniting the Kenyan community to address the economic and social issues it is facing by providing livelihoods for youth while connecting them to traditional agriculture.
