Get to know B Corps

March 28, 2017

"We became a B Corp because we wanted to share our long-held business ethics and sustainability practices with the larger world. We are excited to add our voice to the growing community of companies with a mission, and to show the world there is a better way to do business. We hope others are inspired to join us." — Andy Keller, ChicoBag President and Founder

There are over 2,000 Certified B Corporations worldwide and all of them are committed to using business as a force for good. Non-profit B Lab describes it this way: “B Corp is to business what fair-trade certification is to coffee or USDA organic certification is to milk. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.” This means they are not only considering their bottom line, but their employees, their community, their customers, and the environment.

At The Good Buy, we stand for ethical business practices like triple bottom line accounting (shown left) and are proud that several of our partners have completed B Corps certification.

Our current list of B Corps partners include W.S. Badger, Divine Chocolate, ChicpBag, All Across Africa, Full Circle Home, and United By Blue. See how they stack up against others in their industry here and be sure to look for the B Corp logo on products wherever you shop.
