Cranberry Sauce with Smoked Sugar and Orange

The savory and tart flavors of ginger and cranberries are perfectly complimented with the sweetness of orange and sugar, with those smoky undertones that come from Bourbon Barrel Foods' smoked products. Makes 3 cups.

Ingredients

2 oranges, juiced (plus zest of 1 orange)
1 cup Bourbon Smoked Sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
1 bag (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries

Directions

Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 7-10 minutes or until cranberries have broken down and juices are thickened. Pour into a serving bowl and allow to thicken.
