The plight that bees are facing lately illustrates how little we really know about the impact of humans on the fragile web of life. Bees are important to the planet we all share, particularly for food production. “One of every three bites of our food originates from bees pollinating the flowers that produce many of our fruits, nuts and vegetables,” reported the Washington Post. And as they put it: “We all get stung by colony collapse.”
