United By Blue Shirts

September 22, 2015

We've got new tees in stock from United By Blue's fall line, which gives us a perfect opportunity to talk about why their clothes are so good.

United By Blue uses a simple product philosophy: "Responsible Durable Goods."

What does that mean?
It means that all of their fabrics are sourced responsibly and are made with high-quality organic cotton, recycled polyester, or tencel.

Why organic cotton?
Organic cotton is grown without the use of fertilizers or toxic pesticides. The agricultural runoff from these fertilizers and toxic pesticides is extremely harmful to our watersheds.

Why recycled polyester?
Not only does recycled polyester require less energy to create than new polyester, but it helps to keep bottles and other plastics out of landfills.

Why tencel?
Tencel is a fabric made from cellulose found in wood pulp and has a similar hand to rayon. Unlike rayon, the manufacturing process of making the fiber into a fabric creates minimal air and water waste.

And as always, don't forget that each purchase helps remove one pound of trash from our waterways! Check out the new arrivals now.
