As the weather cools down, you’ll likely want to turn up the heat in your dishes. So we wanted to pass along this spicy black bean hummus recipe from Matt Jamie over at Bourbon Barrel Foods!
15-oz. can black beans, drained and rinsed
2 1/2 tbsp. tahini
2 jalapenos, chopped (if you prefer milder hummus, remove seeds from the peppers)
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp. bourbon smoked paprika
bourbon smoked salt and pepper to taste
Put all ingredients in a food processor. Process on high until the hummus is smooth. Add a little more oil if needed to achieve desired consistency. Garnish with olive oil and bourbon smoked paprika. Serve with pita chips. Enjoy!
